This summer, Lanéva Vesper, our iconic Lanéva boat 100% electric embarked on a tour through Switzerland, connecting with two iconic ecosystems: Lake Geneva and Lake Zurich.
Switzerland, with a total boat population of 98,000 and an average of 87 people per boat, represents an excellent market for boating enthusiasts. Among these, more than 68,000 motorboats highlight the significant potential for electric-powered vessels. Known for its strong environmental awareness, the Swiss market perfectly aligns with Lanéva’s vision of elegant, clean, and silent boats that meet and exceed local expectations.
In Geneva, Lanéva had the privilege to be part of the launch event for the new electric Mercedes EQ car. Hosted at the Geneva Nautique, this event attracted over a hundred attendees—already believers in electric mobility on roads and eager to discover its lake counterpart.
These productive engagements continued around the lake with visits to a leading motorboat dealership and numerous meetings with local media, including Swiss TV and specialized magazines.
The journey proceeded to Zurich, where the Lanéva boat was showcased in a marina near the city center. Many visitors explored the boat and enjoyed private demos with the Lanéva team. The tour also included an official visit from the City Hall, reflecting strong municipal interest in sustainable mobility solutions to protect these delicate lake environments.
The 2019 Swiss Tour was expertly coordinated by our partners from the Swiss Zero Emission Boat Association. We continue collaborating with them to promote premium products and support authorities in advancing Switzerland’s fleet towards zero emissions.
We are excited to announce the continuation of this tour in 2020, featuring groundbreaking technological innovations and new destinations to explore.
