Where our expertise was born. Our first Riva retrofit – carried out on a 1962 Tritone – was unveiled at the Monaco Yacht Show 2022 and is the cornerstone of our electrification service. The Tritone is the quintessential Riva sport boat: twin engines, aggressive lines, 7.90 metres of mahogany, an on-water presence that turns every head. Produced from the mid-1950s, it is the direct ancestor of the Aquarama.
Original architecture. Mahogany hull, twin V8 engines of 177 horsepower each (usually Chrysler), top speed around 40 knots. The Tritone is a demanding boat – two engines to maintain, two tanks to fill, twice the fuel and noise.
The Lanéva conversion. Our twin retrofit kit is precisely the answer for this twin-engine boat. On the reference Tritone, the two V8s were replaced by two electric motors for a total of 300 kW (equivalent to 400 thermal hp), fed by a 130 kWh battery pack. The boat’s performance and character are fully preserved. Dashboard, controls and finishes remain intact – the untrained eye sees no difference.
On board, you will experience… the raw power of the Tritone, but accessible and tractable. Two electric motors respond instantly, with no cold-V8 lag. Harbour manoeuvres become child’s play – immediate torque, fine control of each propeller. And under way, the silence of a big sport boat that no longer roars.
