Swiss precision applied to runabouts. Founded in 1920 on the shores of Lake Zurich, Boesch is, alongside Pedrazzini, the other great name of Swiss wooden runabouts. Its trademark: a cold-moulded technique using high-grade technical plywood from West Africa – an engineer’s approach, distinct from Italian solid mahogany, that gives Boeschs their legendary rigidity and stability. The 900 Riviera de Luxe is one of the yard’s emblematic models.
Original architecture. Cold-moulded technical plywood hull, thermal motor – typically American Crusader – performance marked by stability and seaworthiness. Reliable mechanics, but with the same limitations as all vintage gasoline V8s in terms of noise, smell and running cost.
The Lanéva conversion. The Boesch’s rigid, stable structure lends itself remarkably well to retrofit. Our kit installs with no visual impact on the varnish or period elements. Motor power sized to substitute the original V8, battery pack matched to typical lake usage (mid-duration cruises, return to port for recharging).
On board, you will experience… a Boesch in its natural habitat: alpine lakes, where environmental regulation is increasingly tightening for thermal engines. Electric conversion offers permanent access to the most regulated waters, in a silence perfectly aligned with the contemplative spirit of lake navigation.
